You only need the free version of Power BI Desktop to view, edit, and use the dashboards. However, if you plan to share them online for others to use dynamically, we recommend purchasing a Power BI Pro license from Microsoft.

Yes! Once downloaded, you can plug in your data and share them with your organization immediately. You can also edit and brand them if you choose. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for full licensing details.

Each download includes a setup guide that walks you through connecting the included Excel file to the dashboard and replacing the sample data with your own data. You can also download a free dashboard and view a video walkthrough of the setup here.

Yes! Once the data source is properly connected, simply click “Refresh” in Power BI Desktop to update the visuals.

Absolutely — even though the dashboards are ready to use as they are, you can change colors, branding, charts, add your logo, or extend the dashboard with new data. No coding required!

This usually happens when the Excel file location changes. Follow the setup guide to reestablish the data connection, and ensure that the column names in the excel file exactly match the column names provided in the included data dictionary.

Most dashboards use built-in visuals. If any require marketplace visuals, instructions will be included in the setup guide, and these will be no extra charge.
